no notification that survey data has reached the 6 month threshold and has been purged from the server.
Does my use of this survey tool require IRB review? According to federal law, any survey used for research involving human subjects needs prior approval from the IRB. The IRB is charged with facilitating research while protecting human subjects. Read more... The people you send this survey link to would meet the definition of human subjects. If you meet the definition for research and plan to use this survey tool you must complete either a Research Determination Form or IRB application found on the IRB website, BEFORE you disseminate your survey.
Furthermore, publication of results or presentation outside of the classroom setting is often used as a measure of whether data is generalizable.
